Let’s wake up your spirit with some inspiring lessons from the Star Wars franchise:
1. In life there are good and evil
In life, everything is in pairs, as well as good and evil. Where there is a goodness there also will be evil. As in the movie, The Old Republic which became the symbol of goodness, and the Emperor who became the symbol of evil.
2. The best thing in life is to try to always be good
Being good is not an easy thing, but being good is a choice. Just like Luke, who always try to be good. Actually, in this life we are born to be an agent of good. For that we should be able to distinguish what is good and what is bad, but somehow many people have strayed from the goal of their life.
3. Do not ask others to sacrifice their family
As we know, the family is an important part of a person, if you are a boss and asking your staffs to sacrifice their precious time with their family members just to get the works done, it will backfire you sooner or later. Like Darth Vader, who was ordered by the Emperor to kill his son, he then turned to kill the Emperor.
4. Do not motivated by way of scaring
Probably scare is one way to motivate someone else, but actually fear will be a barrier for someone to go ahead. It’s like the way Darth Vader used to motivate his own henchmen. He always says ‘Force Choke’. Instead of giving motivation, in fact his henchmen became unfocused because of fear.
5. Rewards are not always in the form of money
As the saying goes “money is not everything”, as well as the life lessons of a Star Wars movie, to perform an action, not always reward money is the goal. Rewards may be the presence of a companion, as Han Solo who saved Luke, his best friend, because he does not want to lose Luke.
6. Reestablish relationship with beloved people
Life is too short to be filled with hatred, isn’t it? As well as Han Solo who actually has much reason to hate and blame someone that he loves, but he did not want to do it. He chose to forget the mistakes of the past and trying to reestablish relationships with people he loves.
7. Too much debt can undermine financial condition
There is no harm if occasionally we owe, but if it’s too often, then your finances will be damaged. In Episode VI, Han Solo frozen in the hanging wall of Jabba the Hutt, he was used as a warning to people who owe the galactic gangsters, a significant financial lesson.
8. Do not risk the future
In the Star Wars Episode I, The Phantom Menace, there was a scene where Qui Gon Jinn bet with Watoo to release Anakin Skywalker. Jinn win if he asks Anakin freed, otherwise if Jinn loses, he will give his space ship. After Anakin managed to win the race, Watto said “You deceive Me, I lost everything“. Jinn reply: “Whenever you bet, in fact you’ve already lost.“
9. Little by little over time will become a big
Many people put off investing. Whereas the early start investing small amounts, if done consistently can generate huge profits! It’s just like The Empire that invest consistent growth of Stormtroopers, it makes its power becoming great and can destroy the galaxy.
10. Choose the right teacher
From all episodes of Star Wars, we see a lot of scenes of the exercise, learning and mentorship. Choosing the right teacher is needed to get a proper lesson, proper goal.
