Thank you theses inspirational recommendations, Alexander. You have offered a nice variety of choices here, with some proven classics included. I’ve always enjoyed these kind of books; sometimes I discover new perspectives and ideas, and sometimes I just need to hear an old message in a new way. I was wondering if you have some personal favourites which have been a touchstone in you own personal growth.

Hi Laurie, thanks for your compliment :) As for now, I don’t really have a ‘touchstone’ favorite book but I quite adore some of the book authors such as Napoleon Hill. His journey for interviewing hundreds successful people quite inspire me to want doing the similar thing. Well, let’s see whether it will happen in the near future :)

You have a collection of some good books. However, you are right about books not helping everyone. in fact most self development books do not work for the average person. They do make the person happier and feeling better, at least for a little while. So I guess if that is what someone is looking for then any of those books will do that.

    Some great recommendations here Alexander.

Which book is your favourite? There are just so many of them, I wouldn’t know where to start. I would probably start with somebody I have heard of like Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield or Joyce Meyer.

They say you should read something motivational each day for maximum benefits.

Thanks Michel :) For starting point, I recommend you start with either the top three book OR an author that you have heard the name and trust his/her popularity. It will give a good starting connection when you read the book.

Reading something motivational every day is certainly suggested to keep your motivation every day. At least, you can read a few inspiring quotes every day. You can also check here for some good quotes to start the year 2016 :)

That is true, anybody can talk about the “door” to success, but there’s no point if they’re not gonna open it. I think, everybody has their own source of inspiration, I’ve read these types of books before, eh…there’s just not my type. My inspirations are, rather wierd, atypical type of inspirations.

Hi Lakan :) That’s true, you still need to open that ‘door’ to reach your success, and the inspiration is the fuel source here. Yes I agree that some people may be better to be motivated by other medias (such as games and movies). Thanks for reading.

I’ve read some of the books that’s listed. But out of all those I’d probably go with Power of Now. It’s not about financial success…but Power of Now is…simply “Powerful” What is your favorite?? I figured some books relating to The Law of Attraction was going to be in the list.

Hi Joon :) Thanks for sharing your favorite. I was looking for Think and Grow Rich from Napoleon Hill. He is somewhat one of my ultimate inspirations and I really eager to read his book, but too bad the local store has no new stocks for his book. My next to-read is the 7 habits book :)

The art war by Sun Tzu is a great book. But most of the readings in this list is like some kind of a modern money-making by selling my own books thing. I really pay respect to people who seek success trough books, but i prefer to read more classical and oldschool proven stuff. Like wealth of nations from Adam Smith.

Alblue, Your selection of the top 15 books is excellent. I consider myself a success. Of the 15 I have read and acted on 11. They have truly inspired me throughout my life to be more, do more, share more and help more. Which book has inspired you most. If you could read only one or had not read any and had to choose your first, which would it be? I think mine would be the power of now, but that might be because I have already read it. Thank you for such a perfect list.

    Hey Alblue,

    This list is fantastic!

Your number 1 book that you listed, is this your most favourite out of the 15? Stephen Covey is actually coming to my city (London) for a few days and the tickets were unbelievably pricy!

I’ve heard great things about the book ‘The Secret’ & ‘The Magic’ by Rhonda Byrne. Have you read this by any chance? Also, Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki & The Richest Man in Babylon.

However, I choose to research some other popular inspiring books and share it here, just in case you take an interest in other books too. Well, he is one of the most famous motivational speakers now beside Anthony Robbins, so no wonder the ticket is really pricey :)

Ah thanks so much for your recommendation too. I’ve heard about Robert Kiyosaki but didn’t know the book. I also have heard “The Richest Man in Babylon” too. Might worth to check it. Thanks again :)
