When you wrote a blog about inspirations, it won’t feel complete without writing about what are your personal best inspirational songs all time Everyone knows that music is one of the most common things as a mean to inspire others, and I really love to hear it every day to keep me motivated.
Since there are so many songs I want to cover (about twenty actually), I will divide this post by covering first 10 inspirational songs in my playlist. I will post the second part in another time. Just in case, I want to state that all the song lyrics and images used here are belong to their respective owner, not me.
Here we go for my first 10 favorite songs:
1. Hero (Mariah Carey)
“So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you’ll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you”
Despite having the word ‘Hero’ in the website’s name, this is a song that has so many influences in my life and also my second favorite song. The lyric part that was written above is my favorite past in this song. There are many times when a problem come and made my mood down a bit.
Even recently before I made this blog, I had an inner problem whether it is possible to create such an inspiring blog. I then remembered this song and decided that I will never know the answer until I tried. So, here it is. You are now reading my blog. It may be a bit stiff as this is my first time writing an English blog, but hopefully you can enjoy reading it
2. Fight Song (Rachel Platten)
“Starting right now I’ll be strong
I’ll play my fight song
And I don’t really care if nobody else believes
‘Cause I’ve still got a lot of fight left in me”
When I make this post, Fight Song is still a new EP from Rachel Platten but has gained some popularity due to its theme. This song further motivates me beside the Hero from Mariah Carey. Although this blog is still new, there is a lot for me to do. There are many topics I like to post here, and I hope you can enjoy all of it and make you inspired.
3. Firework (Katy Perry)
“Baby, you’re a firework
Come on, let your colours burst
Make ’em go, “Aah, aah, aah”
You’re gonna leave ’em all in awe, awe, awe”
Man, I love almost every lyric in this song. It tells people to stand up and work with what you are actually good at, not what other people expect you good at. This song reminds me when I come across a ‘meme’ in my social media.
In short, it tells how often students at school are forced to good at academic skill without proper attention for their actual gift. Some students may good at sports or arts but bad at science or math, which should be OK. People have different talents and they should make use of it. I may have another post regarding this matter because it will take too many spaces here
4. Invincible (Kelly Clarkson)
“Beat down on me, beat down like a waterfall
Cause I can take on so much more than I had ever dreamed
So beat down on me, beat down like a waterfall
Cause baby, I am ready to be free”
This is a rather new song when I write this post but quickly placed in my favorite inspirational songs. Yes, other people can beat me down as many times as they want, but I will survive them no matter what. This is true in my college and work life. The most important thing is to do what you feel is right to do, but don’t forget to consider others’ opinion too or you will lose yourself in the ‘I am the most righteous person’ world (which is notoriously known as high ego people).
5. We Own The Night (The Wanted)
“May our hearts be full like our drinks tonight
May we sing and dance ’til we lose our minds
We are only young if we seize the night
Tonight we own the night”
One of my few favorite songs that tell me about enjoying the life. The song should be enjoyed as a whole rather than certain part of the lyric, which in turn may confuse you to drinking and clubbing for enjoying the life (but it’s actually not, in my opinion). The main point is you should enjoy what you are doing in order to achieve the true success, as a Hero of your life, your friends, or your family.
6. Touch The Sky (Julie Fowlis – OST Brave)
“I will ride, I will fly,
Chase the wind and touch the sky”
Anyone here watched Brave or a fan of Merida (the heroine)? One of their Original Soundtrack (OST) is also one of my favorite inspirational songs. It teaches me about freedom, specifically freedom to choose what you want to do and be a successful person with it. The original song is rather short compared to most other inspirational songs but it gives me inspiration as much as others do.
7. Wings (little Mix)
“Cause wings are made to fly
And we don’t let nobody bring us down
No matter what you say – it won’t hurt me
Don’t matter if I fall from the sky
These wings are made to fly”
This is my other favorite song that teaches me about using your talent. We should be proud with it and don’t let yourself down when others mocking you. In my case, people often laugh at me when I started to imagine things.
They said that my imaginations are always too high, but I didn’t take it as an offense. I use those imaginations to write books and stories, and it also helps me to find topics for this blog. They can laugh as much as they want, but as long as I don’t use it for a bad thing, so what? Talents should be used because they are ‘your wings’, which are there to help you achieve the success. Just like what you hear in the song
8. Titanium (Sia ft. David Guetta)
“You shoot me down, but I won’t fall,
I am titanium”
I like its’ upbeat rhythm and David Guetta is the best DJ I’ve known in the earth so far, in my opinion. Since this is another version of the Wings song, I don’t comment on it too much. People can laugh at you, or mock you, or even hurt you in the way of your success path. But I believe, the sweetest revenge is to show them that you can truly achieve the success.
9. Price Tag (Jessie J)
“Why is everybody so obsessed
Money can’t buy us happiness
Can we all slow down and enjoy right now
Guarantee we’ll be feeling alright”
We may have different opinion regarding the meaning of this most famous song from Jessie J. However, there is an important message I really like from the lyric. Money can’t buy us happiness, and sometimes it is alright if we slow down a bit when hiking a path to success. We only live once, right? So it is also important to enjoy the process.
10. Hall of Fame (The Script)
“’Cause you burn with the brightest flame
And the world’s gonna know your name
And you’ll be on the walls of the hall of fame”
This is my first most favorite inspirational song all the time. Even just hearing an instrumental version or humming the song can make myself motivated. This song teaches me that I, you, and everyone else can be a champion with our talent. Yes, use your talent to achieve success and show the result to everyone around you. Be a Hero by using your talent.
And that is my first 10 best inspirational songs all time. How about you?
I believe there are many people here who have different opinion with mine. Everyone has different background, different gift, different circumstance, and also different taste. I would love to hear your best inspirational songs all time, or maybe you have a different lesson with the same song I posted above, or maybe you haven’t had one yet?
Regardless the differences, I hope you can be inspired with music, because music is one of the most wonderful gift and pleasure that humans have in their life
